One of the coolest guys this side of the Mason-Dixon, Racky Thomas lives and breathes the blues. His band hails from Boston but plays the blues as though they came right out of postwar Chicago or the Mississippi delta. Thomas formed the band in 1995 and they’ve performing throughout the northeast to enthusiastic audiences ever since.

The Racky Thomas Band band features Pete Henderson on guitar, Michael Avery on drums, Matt McCabe on piano, bassist Russell Keyes, and Thomas leading the charge on vocals and harmonica. They draw from a wide range of influences to come up with a musical ‘gumbo’ of blues, gospel, country blues, boogie, and fifties rock and roll. Racky and his bandmates have been torch-bearers of the blues for over two decades now and are known for their diverse influences within the blues idiom and jubilant, uplifting live performances.
