SHK Music Presents: The BT-ALC Band at Boston Harbor Distillery

We defy you to find more talented and engaging musicians on any small venue stage. The BT-ALC Band is a collection of true all stars that delivers some of the most energizing funky music around.
BT ALC is led by trombonist Brian Thomas and trumpeter Alex Lee-Clark. Since the band's formation in 2011, they have wow'd audiences with their hard grooving original compositions performed by their rotating collective of some of the most virtuosic, soulful and funky musicians in Boston. The band draws from the big band traditions established by American icons like Duke Ellington and Count Basie infused with grooves inspired by the likes of James Brown, The Meters, Fela Kuti and A Tribe Called Quest, creating an undeniably unique sound and a mind blowing live show experience.
In addition to the local all-stars that play with the band regularly, BT ALC Big Band has also welcomed many special guests to join them for live performances including Fred Wesley, Sean Jones, Elise Testone, Eric "Benny"Bloom, Ryan Zoidis and Alan Evans. The band has released 5 studio albums of original material including their most recent release "Hearing The Truth" with guest appearances by John Medeski, Eric Krasno, G. Love, Adam Deitch, Karl Denson and Nigel Hall. BT ALC Big Band will also be releasing their 1st live album later this year.
We'll share the exact line-up as the date approaches, but expect a band comprised roughly of 5 sax players, 4 trombonists, 4 trumpeters, guitarists, a keyboardist and an always fantastic rhythm section.
We cannot express what extraordinary fun their previous 2 shows at the Distillery were other than to say - you need to come see and hear them for yourself.
