Linda Marks A Recipe For Hope Album Release Show w/ Special Guest Alice Hasen with Wil Gatlin
Join multi-award winning singer-songwriter Waltham-based Linda Marks with Alice Hasen (violin), David Jackson (guitar), Doug Hammer (piano), Doug Rich (bass) and Willie Sordillo (saxophone) as they celebrate the release of Linda's 14th studio album, A Recipe For Hope. In a world weighed down by many heavy issues and challenges, we could all benefit from a generous helping of hope. This collection of poignant and uplifting songs at the heart of our times is intended to strike some chords of healing, vision and inspired action, helping build bridges across divides and create a kinder, better place for all. The album and its songs has already charted well on the FAI DJ chart, Roots Music Reports Alternative Folk Chart, Cashbox Magazine (September Morn) and the UK Hot 100 (Love Always Wins), and received awards ( including Clouzine International Music Awards for Best Folk Album and Best SInger Songwriter (September Morn)). VIrtuosic Memphis-based violinist Alice Hasen (who played on the album) will open with Wil Gatlin on guitar. June 23 is also the premiere of a video for the Sanctuary Project, built around a song Linda wrote inspired by and including words of domestic violence, written for a November 5, 2023 Benefit Concert by artist-alliance group Women In Music Gathering for Casa Myrna and Respond, Inc at the Burren, so we will celebrate!
