SHK Music Presents: The 2024 Boston Harbor Distillery Blues and Booze Festival
SHK Music is partnering with the Boston Blues Society to present the first ever Boston Harbor Distillery Blues and Booze Festival. We have 3 fantastic bands scheduled for this exciting inaugural happening! Get your tickets early for this one before it sells out.
ERIN HARPE AND THE DELTA SWINGERS: Multiple award winner Erin Harpe was called “one of the most dynamic, talented and exciting roots rocking blues women on the scene” by Living Blues Magazine. She and her band the Delta Swingers' unique brand of music is rooted in vintage 1930’s Mississippi delta blues, then “shaken and stirred” with other genres like soul, funk, and reggae. Erin and her bandmates, husband Jim Countryman on bass and vocals, drummer “Mean” Shawn Meehan, and multi-instrumentalist Bobby “Mr. Oz” Mroz on harmonica, keyboards and vocals, were voted 2019's New England “Blues Artists of the Year”. This band is pure fun!

TROY MERCY and his BRAVE NEW BLUES – Troy’s impressive resume includes stints with Booker T. and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. His guitar prowess, his soaring & soulful voice and his brand of blues have been thrilling audiences for many years. His most recent project is a truly dynamic duo featuring drummer Hadley Lloyd, who hails from Chicago via Melbourne, Australia. Hadley is a fearless improviser who heats up the stage like a spike of lightning. Filmmaker Alan Smithee describes this recently formed duo as being like “Lightnin’ Hopkins playing with The Small Faces while Terry Gilliam films it all.”

THE CHRIS FITZ BAND – Chris Fitz has been wowing audiences and winning awards throughout New England with his extraordinary guitar, vocal and entertainment skills for the last 20+ years. His band’s sound is a hot pot of blues jambalaya, mixing swing, jump, Chicago and Texas blues styles with a healthy dose of funk, soul, rock-n-roll, and a touch of British blues rock (think Eric Clapton with the Blues Breakers and Cream). Sharing the stage with Chris are 2 other powerhouse musicians. The number of “Keyboardist of the Year” awards organist Ken Clark has earned rivals the number of Chris’s “Outstanding Guitarist of the Year” wins , and drummer, Steve Peabody is a North Shore icon. This power trio has a spicy sound all their own that is guaranteed to thrill!
