Lovina Falls, Gene Dante & The Future Starlets

Lovina Falls - Described as “elegant baroque-pop drama” by The Boston Globe and “buoyant and bewitching” by The Big Takeover, Lovina Falls entered the scene in Spring 2023 with the debut album Calculating the Angle of Our Descent, spawning video singles for the hypnotic, harpsichord-driven “On Your Side” and ethereal synth-rock genre-bender “Vaulted.” All songs were written, arranged, and produced by multi-instrumentalist Valerie Forgione, former lead singer of Boston’s beloved Mistle Thrush, and depict a “soundtrack to a wonderland where the Bohemians, goths, punks, and dreamers took over” (Boston Herald).
In 2024, Lovina Falls emerged as a live, collaborative project, with Scott Patalano on guitar (Mistle Thrush), Matt Klain on bass (Mistle Thrush), Chuck Ferreira on drums (Eddie Japan, Shang Hi Los), Laura Klain on backing vocals (The Daylilies), Carrie Ingber on keys (Fade/Chromavoid), and seasoned Boston musician Brenden Cobb on guitar. In 2024, following the release of the album, Lovina Falls released two singles, the stormy “Tragedy” and the post-apocalyptic love-at-the-end-of-the-world “Ellery Way”, featuring Todd Demma (Mistle Thrush, Chameleons) on drums. After playing the Boston Rock and Roll Rumble and sharing the stage with such luminaries as Chameleons and Freezepop, Lovina Falls is currently in the studio working on the next album, due summer/fall 2025.
