Julie Rhodes is a Boston-born, Rhode Island based singer-songwriter known for her powerhouse vocals and compelling blend of Americana, blues, and soul. Her debut album, Bound to Meet the Devil (2016), was recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, as well as Dirt Floor Studio in Chester, CT, with contributions from acclaimed musicians like Spooner Oldham, Sara Watkins, and producer Jonah Tolchin. The album garnered critical acclaim and earned Rhodes several Boston and Rhode Island Music Awards, including New Artist, Vocalist, and Americana Artist of the Year. Rhodes’ music is characterized by its raw emotion and authenticity, drawing comparisons to artists like Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin.
