Fortuna 500 are an irreverent garage country five-piece from Somerville, MA, well known as Greater Boston’s first fun band since Jonathan Richman. Fortuna 500’s guitar-forward live sets bring an inviting drive and swagger. The band keeps its growing fan-base on its toes with unapologetically dynamic setlists, with frontman Cole Triedman switching between a Telecaster and old-time banjo. Fortuna (or “Tuna” “F5”) songs blend swampy lead lines pioneered by the Exile On Main Street era-Stones with scrappy screw-you-attitude of Pavement, stirred together with a healthy dose of punky bluegrass twang. At their gigs, Fortuna 500 are having an undeniably good time, and so will you.
