Amy Fairchild Band and Carla Ryder Band

Carla Ryder and Amy Fairchild bring two-plus decades of Boston music history to the stage for this special double bill, each performing a full set backed by their own bands. Carla cut her teeth as lead singer of the beloved Mudhens in the late '90s, opening for Neil Young, Beck, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, and Guster, before going solo with Til the End of Counting (with producer Adam Steinberg) and Unguarded Heart with The Blue Ribbons in 2018 — a finalist in both the International Songwriting Competition and Unsigned Only, earning her praise from Boston Globe critic Steve Morse as "an aspiring rock singer who seems to get better with each appearance." Amy Fairchild has carved just as long a path through the same scene with the solo albums Mr. Heart, a self-titled record, and Nobody's Satellite, work that's won first-place songwriting awards in countless competitions and drawn praise from Dave Marsh, Mike Greenblatt, and Morse himself. The two first joined forces in 2014 as founding members of MIRIAM, the honky-tonk, country-infused rock outfit whose album Scenic Two Lane earned a four-year local residency and a Boston's Best Americana Band nomination in 2016 — and now reunite for a night of dueling voices, hard-won songs, and world-class musicianship.
