The Dambuilders - TWO SHOWS with Special Guests

The Dambuilders' inventive blend of indie rock, pop, and electric violin earned them a devoted following on college radio in the 1990s. Originally formed in Honolulu, the band relocated to Boston in 1990 and went on to release six albums, including three for Elektra Records, tour extensively throughout North America, Europe, and Australia, and share stages with artists including Lush, Luna, Jeff Buckley, Weezer, Everclear, and others. Their acclaimed 1994 album Encendedor featured “Shrine,” named one of MTV’s 100 Greatest Songs of the ’90s, Lollapalooza edition. The Dambuilders reunited in 2025, performing their 1989 debut in its entirety, and returned with “Shrine 2026,” their first new release in decades, accompanied by a new song, “I Hope We’re Not Too Late.” The new lineup includes original members Dave Derby, Kevin March, and Eric Masunaga, along with guitarist Sean Eden (Luna) and violinist Claudia Chopek (Father John Misty, TV on the Radio).
November 20th - Special Guests Sleepyhead
Sleepyhead was formed in a basement room at NYU's Brittany dorm in the fall of 1989 by drummer/vocalist Rachael McNally, bassist Mike Galinsky and guitarist/vocalist Chris O’Rourke. They released their first 7" single, the Kramer-produced "Play," in 1991, and six full-length albums followed: Punk Rock City USA (Slumberland 1993), Starduster (Homestead 1994), Communist Love Songs (Homestead 1996), The Brighter Shore (Sealed Fate 1999), Wild Sometimes (Carrot Top 2014), and New Alchemy (Wild Sometimes Records 2022). After signing to Dromedary Records in 2025, the current lineup of Chris O’Rourke, Rachael McNally, Derek van Beever, and Ani Somasundaram released the 7” single “Hoping That You’re Lonely” b/w “Busted Lullaby.” They are currently working with producer Jon Lupfer on their seventh album at Q Division Studios in Cambridge, MA for release in 2027. Their new songs conjure the subtly infectious laissez-faire sounds of pre-Grunge Indie Rock they embraced early on in their career as well as evoking classic Laurel Canyon Country-Rock and other 70’s FM staples.
November 21st - Hilken & Melissa Band
Hilken & Melissa Band features two original members of Fuzzy, the ’90s indie rock band signed to Atlantic Records and featured in Rolling Stone for writing one of the Top 50 Songs of the Decade. The band includes Hilken Mancini (Fuzzy, Shepherdess, The Monsieurs) and Melissa Gibbs (Heavy Stud, Gymnasium) on guitars and vocals, with Winston Braman (Fuzzy, Thalia Zedek, Consonant) on bass and Luther Grey (Tsunami, Fully Celebrated Orchestra) on drums. In the past year alone (2025–26), the band has been invited to open for J Mascis (The Sinclair), Mary Timony (Crystal Ballroom), Juliana Hatfield (The Sinclair), Karate (The Sinclair), and Buffalo Tom (Arts at the Armory), and continues to be a favorite support act throughout the Boston indie rock community.
