The Boston Comedy Festival Comedy Competition brings 96 comedians from across the country and Canada to Boston for one of New England’s biggest stand-up competitions.

Over eight preliminary rounds, 12 comedians take the stage at each show, all competing for a spot in the semifinals. Only 32 comedians will advance.

And here’s the fun part: you never know who’s going to break out. Some competitors already have impressive credits. Others could be the next big name you haven’t heard of yet.

7pm Show - Hosted by Jason Cordova

Boston-based comedian Jason Cordova is a veteran stand-up comic with nearly two decades of experience. Known for his sharp observations and brutally honest storytelling, Jason has performed at comedy clubs, theaters, festivals, and major comedy events around the country.

He was recently featured at Netflix Is a Joke Fest.

Special Guest Karen Morgan

Karen Morgan is a Maine-based comedian with three Dry Bar Comedy specials, including Put Some Butter On It (2026) and Rub Some Dirt On It (2023), which was named one of Dry Bar Comedy’s Top 10 Clips of 2023.

She has also been featured on CBS’s The Talk, and her latest comedy album, Shiny Happy People Laughing, can be heard on SiriusXM.
