Bringing together his diverse influences and musical background, composer, arranger, and bassist Allan Hirt formed the Jazztet to delight your senses with a mixture of original tunes, unique arrangements of songs you know (often with a twist), as well standards that have stood the test of time. Whether it is funky, Latin, straight ahead, or a jazzed up version of a rock song, there is always something for everyone.

The Allan Hirt Jazztet is Allan on bass, Thom Cox on guitar, and Ed Conley on drums.

This show celebrates the release of Allan's new album Not Live at Budokan Volume I and will feature many of the tunes on it.
