SHK Music Presents: The A-Beez at Boston Harbor Distillery
The A-Beez are truly one of our all-time favorite bands at SHK Music. Amy and Aaron Bellamy are one of Boston’s most talented musical couples and among their many credits are performances with the likes of Chaka Khan, Terri Lyne Carrington, Sam Kininger, G Love, Nth Power, and Club D’elf to name a few.
The flexible group of musicians that Amy and Aaron invite to play with them under the name A-Beez attracts the area’s finest musicians. For this performance, they will be joined by drummer Muu WIlliams, guitarist Lyle Brewer (Neighbor, Ryan Montbleau, Lori McKenna), saxophonist Greg Blair (Frankie Valli, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Atomic Funk Project, Upstate) and trumpeter Maz Maher (Snarky Puppy with whom he's won 5 Grammys) and Grammy nominated vocalist Debo Ray (Terri Lyne Carrington, Esperanza Spalding, Bobby McFerrin, Screaming Headless Torsos).
This is the same ensemble that blew the roof off the Distillery a year ago with one of our all-time favorite shows. Their music has its roots in soul, R&B and jazz - but when it comes down to it, you’ll remember them as one of most talented, funkiest bands around.
